Your Successful Affiliate Email Marketing

If you have a list already, that's great. You might have heard you should expect each subscriber on your list to be worth $1 each month.

You're not getting that? Read on.

You've done as has been suggested. You've built a list. You've set up an email campaign using the affiliate emails provided for you. Unfortunately, it's not working.

The problem?

The voice.

That means your emails need to be in the same voice, your voice, as the sign up system you've set up. When you buy in a squeeze page written by someone else, the visitors you send there identify with, and are willing to sign up because of, that person's style or voice. That is different to the person who wrote the affiliate emails. The same thing is true even if you wrote your own squeeze page. Therefore, they don't recognize the emails as yours. There might be different organization, different vocabulary, different use of punctution.

Whatever it is, they feel you did not write the emails.

What you're reading at the moment, and if you read it all, might cause you to click a link at the end. You appreciate the style or voice for some reason, and want to read more from me. Not becasue it's a great stand out article. It's just an ordinary article. But something might fit with you.

If you then go to a squeeze page I've written you will more than likely opt in because you recognize the same voice as in the article. It's not coming from someone else.

It's the same thing with emails and sales pages. You send an affiliate program email you're given and people don't respond so well, if at all. You write the emails but send them to straight affiliate sales page and they can see the difference.

Create your own emails. Those that don't work so well that you see through your tracking can either be improved on or dropped altogether. Replace them or move them around. Learn from what's actually happening, and how you can make things better each time.

Once marketers could buy lists from list companies and email the people on them. Now that is against the law as spam. The result is you have to build your own list.

But what's the relationship with internet marketing?
You must communicate with the people on your list, on a regular basis. This is the main strategy for selling your products and making a profit. In other words, in having a business and not a hobby. It's much easier to sell to someone who knows and trusts you than someone who turns up to your website cold. When that happens they may not have come across you before, or if they've come from a piece of your content, they may not know anything else about you. In this sort of situation, people just don't buy.

Email marketing is at the center of your internet marketing endeavors because of being able to communicate with your subscribers, and make repeated offers of a product if they don't buy first time. With  cold visitors to your site, if they don't buy then and there, they'll leave and you probably won't see them again. Because of repeat offers through emails, sales and profits can be much higher.

It's easier to convert a subscriber on your list into a customer, than a one-time visitor to your site.

As an internet marketer, do the following.


First, send your traffic to your squeeze page, the only purpose of which is to convert visitors to subscribers. You do not sell anything on the squeeze page. You sell to your subscribers in your emails.

Second, develop successful email sequences that send them to successfully developed sales letters that convert your subscribers into customers. Many more than if you'd try to convert cold traffic.

Third, take care of your list. In effect, it is your business. They are the ones who will pay you money for your valuable products. Email marketing is the core of your business, the most important part of your business system and of your internet marketing.

Anyone can  get started in internet marketing. They can do it with just a few dollars.

Actually, that's the problem. It's the reason most do not succeed online.

The little amount of money they put in to get started seems to suggest the returns won't be very high either. What they think, tends to come true.

Also, when they make some profits, it'll probably get spent on some entertainment. It's a reward for the time and effort they've put in.

However, a serious online business person will be pleased to start with so small an amount of money. Then when they make some profits, they'll plow them back into the business to make it grow.

Have you seen those offers for a package of email subject lines that are said to be tested to get your emails opened?

Can this be true?

Maybe for a while when subscribers are new to your list. You can tease them with promises in your subject lines. But these types of email are largely used by business opportunity or get rich quick marketers. People get bored or fed up with them after a while, and stop opening emails or unsubscribe.

On the other hand, those who stay on your list and keep reading them aren't doing it for the subject lines but because of the content you keep sending them.
They'll open your emails because the last email, and those before that, were valuable to them. It might have extended their understanding or gave useful and doable information that helped them. So, if you check email open rates it will probably be the case that it is content already received which influences whether next emails are opened and read.

Just think about which emails you open consistently.

You see who has sent an email and you see the subject line. Which one influences you to click it open? Think about what you actually do, and not what you might have read marketers telling you about the importance of subject lines.

Do you always read those emails by the same marketers every time? I believe that will be the case. Isn't it your experience of their content that gets you to do so?

Your List Profits Generation

List building in itself is not of much use. You need to aim at more than that. You're running a business, so you want to build a list that generates you profits. Of course, that takes more work than simply building the list.

Just about everybody who starts up online will be able to have their own list. You can keep on getting subscribers.

However, the money you make from it at first, if at all, will probably only be small.

Take these actions to increase your list profits, and keep doing them.


First, make sure you continuously deliver more in value to them. Give them the freebie immediately that they signed up to get. But that's only the beginning. Have your email series ready to deliver valuable information on a regular basis. Give them updates to your products, and free gifts, and any other useful information, in any form, you can provide. This way you develop loyal subscribers.

Second, develop rapport with them. Ask them what they need help with and where they're stuck. Get them to advise you what they want. Find out what information they're after. Then, give it to them as free information.

Third, your task is to enable your subscribers to be successful. The more they succeed, the more they'll be willing to purchase products from you to help them further.

Your Top Traffic Techniques

Everybody needs traffic. But people who get  lots of traffic don't always want it to be known how they do it. Obviously, if everybody knew, there'd be no more sense of authority about it, and they might have too many people doing the same thing.

However, why shouldn't everyone have more traffic through what they're creating and how they're working?

Here's a key way of doing it.

First, make a useful freebie you created yourself. Professional marketers even have their freebies stamped with their name, not somebody else's. Why not do the same?

Second, spread it around. Let people download it through as many places as possible. Then give more and more. You can also put it in different formats, such as an article, post, audio, video, free call, and so on.

Third, when people subscribe to your list, they've done so because they trust you at least to some extent. They want more from you. Therefore, provide more free information. You can link to your website pages and to other content in other places. That way, you get more traffic, and they get increasing value as their knowledge builds.

Your Forum Traffic Source

To be successful online you must have traffic. A traffic source you can depend on that fits your business. Of course, you still have to track and test it so you drop what does not work and build up what does work.

This takes persistence in working at it as much as you can. In fact, you need to aim to get yourself above the average marketer in your niche. Remember that most people give up too early.

If you think forums might provide you with that, or one, traffic source, take these actions.

First, search for anywhere from 10 to 30 forums in your niche. You could start with 5 and build up over time as you continue your testing. If you sell exotic flowers information, search for "exotic flowers forums", or "flowers forums" that might have a section on exotic ones. Or search for  any related terms followed by "forums".

Second, become a member of the ones you find.

Third, develop a signature you can put after your posts when you're allowed to. It could be your website address or an email address. Do not try to sell anything in the signature.

Fourth, introduce who you are in the specific section for doing so. You only need some general information. Then sign out of the site.

Fifth, next day look through the forum for questions people are asking for answers to and problems they're stuck on and want solutions to. Answer three to ten of these, giving helpful information. Your answers need not be long. Then sign out.

Sixth, do this regularly, answering posts with helpful responses. Answer a number each day, perhaps increasing as you go on until you reach a time limit you set yourself for doing this work. Avoid spending hours a day on this. For example, be in for half an hour at the most and work effectively.

The main reason for doing this is not to advertise but to build relationships with people on the forum who need help, and who you can help with your information. Once they trust you over time, then they will buy from you as they click through to your website.
