Create qualified traffic visiting your site through your content and the links in it from that content to your site.
When you've created your content, and having checked it, you want to let people get more information from you if they want it. Do this with your link: see the end of this article.
To be more exact, a backlink to your site, and more exactly to a page on it. With the anchor link, which includes the keyword you're focusing on, send people to a particular page.
Not only are you sending them to more related information but when you publish your content on a high ranked site, the search engines see that link from it as having more importance. If there is a page on your site you want to increase in search engine results, you can have several links back to it to help optimize it for search engines for a particular keyword.
